Finding the Perfect Size for Your Kiddo

While browsing The Green Crib & Kid, you probably noticed that the different brands we carry have different sizing conventions. For example, a size 2 could be represented by 2T, 2Y, 92, 1-2Y or any number of combinations of these. When using our shop’s size filter, we have grouped all variations of the same size together to make it easier for you to shop. Generally, if the size represents a range (1-2Y) the item fits best on the larger end of the range.

On most product listings, you will find a link to the size chart provided to us by the brand to help you determine even further if the item’s fit will work for your child. Many of our items are imported from Europe, where sizing is typically based on the child’s height. A size 92 indicates the item is made to fit a child who is 92 centimeters tall, which is equivalent to 36 inches. In some cases, to help you shop we have added an age suggestion to the size listing that you will not find on the brand's label. If your child tends to be taller or shorter than average, it is best to go by the height recommended size versus the age suggestion.

For years, my daughter only wanted to wear leggings because her skinny waist and long legs didn’t fit traditional sizes. That’s why we love elastic waistbands, drawstrings and adjustable waistline buttons here at The Green Crib & Kid! After carrying the same brands for a number of years, I know which ones run big or small, narrow or wide. If you ever have a sizing question or are looking for a particular fit for your child, feel free to reach out!
